PMAGS, GI Mags, D&H Magazines, Lancer Mags and more.
When it comes to magazines for your ar-15, the sky and your budget are the limit. Today, AR 15 magazines are made from a variety of materials. Aluminum, stainless steel, steel and polymers.
AR-15 magazines also come in a variety of capacities, 5 round, 10 round, 15 round, 20 round, 30 round, 40 round, 60 round and 100 round. The prices range from $6.99 to well over $100, depending on the brand, capacity and material used in it’s construction.
Your ultimate use of the AR-15 and your local laws will all determine which mags you will use. If you are military or LEO, would you trust your like to a $4.00 “surplus” gun show special mag? I sure wouldn’t. Especially when you can get new, high quality mags from D&H for as little as $10.00, and Pmags for only a couple of dollars more.
I like to buy mags year round. If I am placing an order for some parts, I usually get some ar 15 magazines with that order. It helps spread the shipping charges out and during times of “panic” in the firearm industry, I have no need to pay 4 to as much as 10 times what mags list for. I read the gun boards and just sit back and chuckle when people wait until they think they will not be able to get something and then complain about the price and availability of 30 round mags. There were online auction that had a case of 100 30 round pmags going for 7,000 and 8,000 dollars. That is just STUPID seeing how list is 1495.00 on a case.
